I actually lost the original entry. Nothing seems to be working out today! It's very frustrating. Anyway, gorgeous, gorgeous Seattle...

We went to Pike's Market, which is by the sea. No pictures, but trust me it is filled with all sorts of amazing indie artists who sell their crafts :3. The last time I went there, I even saw custom-made kaleidoscopes (the most amazing things ever, yes), hand-bound leather books (oh-so-decadent against skin), among all the stores of merlot jam and delectable cheese :D

I

I spent a whole of time collecting those poppy-like flowers and shards of glass :D

And set down at the cafe to draw for the duration my soy latte lasted...
(which wasn't very long. I had places to go!)

The Local Colour Art Cafe

Also bought a whole lot of tea-stained lace and silk ribbon in petal shades and deep sea blue-greens from
the amazing Paper Source where I got my red paper suitcase with teal handles and stitching the last
time I went there.

I love peculiar hand gestures :D

The colours of my life make me deeply happy.

I also got a notebook (left) in which I've been rabidly doodling in (to an unhealthy extent) and a small sketchbook for sketching out ideas and fragments of my universe. Fun, and pretty!

I got them from this bookstore:

It's anarchist, so run solely by a volunteer collective. The people in it were lovely to talk to.

We also stopped by Trader's Joe where we stocked up on the yummiest bread (ahh!), out-of-the-world bananas, things-grabbed and ridiculously cheap bottles of wine (3.90 for a bottle of chardonnay!?)
The sea ribbon :3

And pretty colours, agian...

I was wearing my feathery light stripped rainbow rayon scarf, so everything was so beautifully coloured <3

What awaited me at home. My trade with Julia of BloodPuddingPress at etsy

A proper progress picture. I've not had that much time to actually draw it (wish I was escaping from places again to hide in dark corners and draw! XD). The cat and feather were fun to render. I'm definitely doing more realistic work in the future!

Oh-so-delectable cheesecake. It tasted like my favourite cheesecake from NYDC, which is always a godo thing :3. Haven't had good cheesecake since Singapore! Hopefully, it'd help me gain a bit of the weight I lost while traveling intensely and surviving on delicious breakfasts and dinner-salads at the hotel :3 Colorado is decrepit food-wise...

This is a rather disproportionate post, btw :D.
I actually was in Colorado for a week. Seattle was only a one night stop. Mrr...

Regardless of strange folk, Colorado's open skies, thunderstorms and precipitous landscape calls for more drawing...
(why-am-I-still-in-land-drowned-Vancouver? o_o)

Mrr. (who should go to sleep now. Mind is spewing midnight spills. This is enroaching unhealthy levels.)

Yes, it is :D. We drove down to the Seattle airport to fly off, because it's much cheaper, so stayed only for a night. (Seattle is a couple of hours from Vancouver by car).

Definitely go traveling. Preferably without a plan. It's a very effective way of re-orientating your life XD
